Independent Option

The Independent Option gives you total freedom and flexibility in finding a job on your own anywhere in the USA.  How you find your job is up to you, but CCUSA is there to support you along the way.

This option is perfect for you to find your own summer job which is more associated with your course of study, as our Placement Option is more suited for people wanting jobs within the Tourism area such as resorts, amusement parks, nationla parks etc. So if it is a more specialised area outside of Tourism then this is the option for you.

Also if you have friends or family that currently live in the States, again this would more suited to you as they may have connections and links to jobs in the area they live in during the summer, or at least keep an eye out for them - after all thats what friends are for! 

The Independent Option Includes:

  • Access to our updated Independent Hot Jobs Blog Site where you can view current openings for employers who are willing to hire you.
  • Access to Footprints,CCUSA’s online participant support site.

CCUSA’s Online Job Hunt Site contains all the information you need to secure a job in the USA before you leave home.  The Job Hunt Site allows you to:

  • Create your own profile, complete with Resume/CV and photos.
  • Search for employers by location, position or company type.
  • Send your profile through our secure network.
  • Communicate through the site with prospective employers.
  • Seek advice on writing your Resume/CV and interviewing tips.
  • Read up on travel tips and location specific details.

Job Hunt

Note:  The employers listed on the Job Hunt Site have established a relationship with CCUSA.  They are educated on the needs of international workers and current Social Security protocols.  They are more likely to allow you to begin work while your Social Security Card is being processed.
