ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Camp Counselors USA provides several events prior to your departure to the USA. Travel to these events are at your own cost.

  1. Summer Camp Job Fairs - We do encourage all participants who have not yet received a placement by the time of these events, to attend a job fair. This is a great way to meet camps face-to-face, learn more about camp and hopefully secure a job on the day! (If you have already received a placement prior to these events or if you are unable to attend for any other reason, you do not need to).
  2. An in-person interview for your J-1 visa (required for work at camp) at the US Embassy in London or the US Consulate in Belfast.
  3. A pre-departure orientation conducted by CCUSA. Attendance at one of these meetings is a requirement of the J-1 visa program. Meetings are held in Bristol, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds or London – you can choose the location you attend.
